Sometimes inspiration follows you further than you expect.

A little while ago, I met a group of women leaders during a photoshoot and suggested they try a power pose that I had seen recently on someone's profile. They all embraced it brilliantly, and I even attempted my own version, though with considerably less elegance!
It got me thinking again about leadership, environments and the importance of creating spaces where people can step away from everyday pressures, connect properly and perhaps see things from a different perspective.
So, while riding through the Bernese Oberland on my motorbike recently, I decided to stop at the magnificent hotel to take a look around, and I am very glad I did.
What struck me wasn't simply the location or the mountain views. It was how much positivity there was there, it felt like home from home.
They have a lovely alpine garden where people can walk and talk, comfortable spaces that encourage conversation rather than formality, meeting rooms with windows looking towards the mountains, quiet corners to think and beautiful rooms to recharge. Even a chalet that immediately had me imagining a private dinner after a day of leadership sessions.
But most importantly, there were the people, the team were warm, welcoming and genuinely passionate about the place and for me, this matters enormously.
At HOWARD&Co, I don't just look for impressive venues, I look for places that make something possible, whether it's a better conversation, a stronger connection a new idea or a moment when a leadership team finally has the space to stop, think and move forward together.
That is why I visit these places personally, as you can't understand how a venue feels from a website or brochure and occasionally, the best discoveries start with a motorbike, a little curiosity and absolutely no appointment!
